NWFD Quickly Controls Fire
North Webster Fire Department responded to a fire at 36 EMS T14 Lane, Leesburg, at 1:53 a.m. this morning. The fire was quickly contained to the outside wall of the residence as it started to go into the attic.
According to North Webster Fire Chief Jeremy Likens, the fire originated at an outside electrical panel box. The first emergency personnel at the scene reported flames and smoke could be seen in that area. The flames traveled up the exterior wall and had just reached into the attic when firefighters extinguished it.
No cause or damage amount was available yet this morning. According to the county mapping system the home is owned by Jeffrey Hamman.
