SOUTH WHITLEY – The Wawasee JV football team took over where the varsity left off the night before. The Warriors were sound on both sides of the ball Saturday morning, whipping Whitko 26-0.

Wawasee had two rushing touchdowns from Nathan Katzer and another from Sam Rookstool while quarterback Stephon Miller connected with Cameron Krizman for a passing touchdown to highlight the offensive output for the Warriors.

On defense, Wawasee held Whitko to just three first downs the entire morning.

Wawasee (1-0) will host South Bend St. Joseph’s next Saturday while Whitko (0-1) will take on Columbia City in the county rivalry game.
