The duo of Maddie Gawthrop and Whitney Hobbs led the way as Whitko rallied to defeat host Manchester in prep volleyball action Thursday night.

The Wildcats won 25-15, 17-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10 in the Three Rivers Conference match.

Gawthrop had 10 kills, two blocks and four aces for the winners. Hobbs had nine kills, five blocks and a pair of aces.

Setter Elaine Warner had 30 assists and three aces for Whitko. Dana Hobbs had 14 digs for the Wildcats.

Manchester won the junior varsity match 15-25, 25-17, 15-11. Brianna Tackett had six kills and Whitney Marsh five for Whitko. Hanna Yohe had 15 digs and Haley Yohe had nine assists and three aces.

Tennis Team Blanked By Squires

The Whitko boys tennis team dropped a 5-0 final to host Manchester in TRC play Thursday.

Alex Robbins was a winner at No. 1 singles in junior varsity action for Whitko.
