OSHA Seminar In Syracuse
Under OSHA regulations, all employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must provide workers with training for the new Globally Harmonized System by Dec. 1. Under the GHS, product labeling, material safety data sheets and terminology have been updated and modified to more effectively communicate hazards to workers.
This is a significant change from the Hazard Communication Standard and many employers are confused about requirements and compliance methods, so mark your calendars and plan to attend the GHS train-the-trainer 2-hour seminar Thursday, Sept. 19.
The event will occur from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Syracuse Community Center and will help attendees understand the implementation of the GHS. The training is sponsored by the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce and will be conducted by Leanne Coffman, senior management consultant of the Safety Training Solution.
The program includes lunch for attendees and digital materials necessary to train workers for compliance with OSHA’s new GHS requirements. Cost is $50 and must be either cash or check at the door.
For information, call Coffman at 574-265-1730 or email [email protected].
