AKRON – A valiant rally by the Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team came up just short Thursday night.

Visiting Northfield was able to hold off the host Vikings 26-24, 27-25, 25-27, 22-25, 15-7 in a big Three Rivers Conference match.

Anne Secrest had a team-high 12 kills to lead coach Mallory Eaton’s team.

Valley drops to 13-5 overall and goes to 3-1 in TRC play.

Caylie Teel had 10 kills, 13 digs and five blocks for the Vikings. Kelsey Ball ahd eight kills, five digs and three blocks.

Lauren Early had 13 digs for the Valley defense and Sara Alexander came up with five kills. Jaden Biddle had nine digs and Tenaya Shull had 18 assists and Kelsey Eckert had 14 assists and eight digs.

Valley hosts Oak Hill Monday night.
