TVHS To Debut Nature Trail
Tippecanoe Valley High School will be holding a press conference Tuesday to introduce and provide information about the Tippecanoe Valley School Forest Nature Trail.
TVHS will be recognizing the Pike Lumber Company for its work in completing the trail, which includes 18 numbered plaques along the wooded path that identifies species of trees and plants.
The project was coordinated by Pike Lumber Company Forestland Manager Oliver Grimm and recently completed by Pike Lumber Company intern Rayanna Reffitt, who is also TVHS graduate and currently a student at Purdue University. The Tippecanoe Valley School Forest Nature Trail is available to teachers and students for educational purposes. It is also open to the public.
Attached to the sign at the entrance of the trail is a box that contains an informational pamphlet that is available to visitors to guide them on their walk. An example of the pamphlet can be viewed HERE.
