Syracuse Gets Into The Autumn Spirit
Local businesses and organizations in Syracuse will once again be getting into the autumn spirit by decorating the town’s lampposts in festive attire and scenes.
Lampposts are first come first serve with businesses and organization needing to contact the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce to request the lamppost they want. The town of Syracuse requests that nothing be used to decorate the posts that would cause them harm or damage, such as duct tape.
Decorating began Oct. 1 with displays needing to be completed by Oct. 12 when the judging will occur. Decorations can then remain up until Oct. 31.
Chamber Executive Director Tammy Cotton noted, “The chamber receives many compliments each year from visitors and residents alike (about) how it really spruces up the town and how fun it is to drive through and look at each of the decorated posts.”
Those interested in participating this year should contact Cotton as soon as possible at 574-457-5637 or [email protected].
