CTB Challenges CTB In Dodgeball Benefit
The annual United Way Corporate Dodgeball Tournament has taken on a new flare this year as Chore-Time Brock United Way committee members, realizing a lack of interest by other companies to get in on the fun, have organized its very own corporate challenge.
CTB has put together a total of seven CTB employee teams that will take on each other for the Ultimate Challenge tournament at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in the Milford Middle School gymnasium. Titled “The Ultimate Challenge,” the CTB employees will battle amongst themselves to see who the true champions are.
In past years, Bowen Center and United Way have held the Corporate Dodgeball Tournament in Warsaw at Lakeview Middle School. However, realizing a lack of interest in companies putting together teams for the benefit, CTB took the challenge on themselves and enlisted enough employees to put together seven teams. The Ultimate double elimination tournament begins at 7 p.m. Thursday
CTB will have seven teams of strictly CTB employees facing off in an hour long double-elimination tournament starting at approximately 7 p.m. in the Milford Middle School gymnasium.
Rather than having a corporate sponsor, CTB players have paid their own fee as a direct contribution to the company’s annual United Way campaign. Spectators from the public, as well as friends and family, are welcome and encouraged to attend – each will pay a $2 entrance charge that will also go directly to the UW campaign.
*Please note: The start time for The Ultimate Challenge is approximate due to the girls’ basketball
game prior to the tournament. Also, each team consists of eight (8) players, totaling 56 employees who will participating in addition to volunteers in the official’s roles.
