Thomas E. Rickard, 62, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 7:23 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born April 7, 1951, in South Bend, Ind., to David and Marilynn (Becker) Rickard.

He was employed by Memorial Hospital of South Bend for 22 years where he performed janitorial duties. He has been a resident of Ridinger Lake, Pierceton, for the past 15 years. He was of Mormon faith.

Thomas is survived by his mother: Marilyn Rickard, Pierceton; a son: Scott Rickard, South Bend, Ind.; a daughter: Stacy Rickard, Dowagiac, Mich.; two brothers: Edward (Endora) Rickard and Al Baltes, both of South Bend; a sister: Kathy (Stephen Eppley) White, Elkhart, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.

Calling will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. There will be no service. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Memorial Valley Park, Granger, Ind.
