Medtronic announced it has landed a 1 year, $58 million extension of its U.S. Defense Department contract for radiology equipment.
The U.S. Defense Department extended the deal with Medtronic for another year, the agency said yesterday.
The contract extension, worth $58 million for the Fridley, Minn.-based medical device company, is for radiology systems, subsystems and components for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies, the DoD said.
The extension, slated to end Oct. 25, 2014, is the 1st of a possible 6 extensions written into the original 1-year deal.
