Powerful Jimmies Rout Valley
AKRON – The Jimtown football program continued quite the impressive playoff streak Friday night.
All at the expense of Tippecanoe Valley.
The No. 5 Jimmies, who have never lost a first-round playoff game, rolled past the host Vikings 53-18 in a Class 3-A Sectional opener.
Jimtown used turnovers and outstanding special teams play to take control from the outset.
Jimtown, now 8-2, led 13-0 after the opening period and 26-0 at halftime in the dominating win. Casey Adams scored on runs of three, one and 12 yards in the opening half to lead the Jimmies. Adams finished the night with 13 carries for 124 yards and four touchdowns.
The Jimmies, who improved to 4-0 all-time versus Valley, advance to play at Rochester (8-2) next Friday night.
