Goshen Author Pens Treasure Hunting Book
GOSHEN, Ind. — Author D. Rudd Wise announces the nationwide release of The Shallow’s Deep Secrets, Volume 1 an action and adventure novel, where he present the adventure of a couple going on a cruise, treasure hunting along the way.
The Shallow’s Deep Secrets carries readers along with Jess E. Hanes, a retired military; and his wife, Marie Ann, who recently sold her accounting firm, as they explore history on and in the rivers and lakes of the Great American Loop cruise around Eastern United States. They make their home on a 42-foot Nordic Tug trawler during a 6,500-mile 14-month adventure.
The cruise starts in Benton Harbor, Mich., across Lake Michigan to Chicago, down to the Mississippi River to Florida and, then, up the east coast to the Hudson Bay, over to the Erie Canal and then across the Great Lakes, and ends back in St. Joseph, Mich. It will be a 12- to 13-month cruise. Each chapter of The Shallow’s Deep Secrets takes readers on a leisurely segment of mystery and adventure for shallow water treasure hunting.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide.
Wise spent his first year of college at Texas Tech University before joining the Navy in June 1955 for 12 years. Later, he retired from the U.S. Air Force with a total of 24 years of service. Since then, he obtained his private pilot’s license, received his scuba diver’s certification, and dove on Spanish galleons off the coast of Florida.
