MedStat Opens In Syracuse
Representatives from the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, Kosciusko Community Hospital and MedStat gathered Wednesday to celebrate the opening of a new medical facility in Syracuse.
MedStat, part of the Lutheran Health Network, now occupies space at the former Arthur’s Fresh Market building, 107 W. Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. It will offer walk-in urgent care for illnesses and injuries, on-site X-ray services, preventative services and occupational health services.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A children’s costume contest took place as part of the grand opening events and was judged by Tammy Cotton, executive director of the Syracuse Wawasee Chamber of Commerce.
Winners of the costume contest include Taylor Schreck, who dressed as Cleopatra; and Landon Smith, who dressed as the Lone Ranger. The top winners won bicycles to ride on the extensive area bike trails.
