Patricia L. ‘Pat’ Staker
Patricia L. ‘Pat’ Staker, 80, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 4:47 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born on March 15, 1933, in Fort Wayne, to Harold Eugene and Rosetta Mae (Farrell) Groves. She attended Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne and moved to the North Webster area in 1973.
She retired in August 2013 as a Pharmacy Technician at Wal-Mart in Warsaw, Ind., after over 10 years of service. She formerly worked at GTI (Dytronics) in Leesburg, Ind., for 20 years and Archway Cookie Co. in Fort Wayne for several years. She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster.
She is survived by four daughters: Vickie Kaze, North Webster; Debbie VanCuren, Warsaw; Nancy Staker, Warsaw; Cindy (Jeff) Fall, Syracuse, Ind.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister: Judith Ann (Darwin) Wright, Fort Wayne; and a brother: Kenneth Ray (Cathy) Groves, Fort Wayne
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Rosalie Boussum; and a brother: Jim Groves.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 N., North Webster. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Burial will follow at the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
