LCA’s Drama Department Presents ‘Football Romeo’
Lakeland Christian Academy’s drama department will present Football Romeo from Nov. 7-9. This is a comedy in two acts by Lindsay Price.
The new drama teacher at Verona Beach High is directing Romeo and Juliet. Nicola is certain she will be the perfect Juliet and her linebacker boyfriend the perfect Romeo. Too bad life isn’t perfect!
Sparks fly when Danny, the self-professed drama geek, is chosen over the linebacker. Nicola cries foul and demands the play be recast. Not only does Danny have to fight his insecurities as a performer and his brother treating him as a science experiment, he must also fight to keep the role of a lifetime. Both hilarious and touching, this show will appeal to those who love Shakespeare, those who fear Shakespeare, and those who’ve never heard of Shakespeare.
Performances at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Tickets will be sold at the door. Adult tickets will be $6 and students and senior citizens will cost $4. Preschoolers will be admitted for free. LCA is located at 1093 S. 250 E., Winona Lake. For more information, call 574-267-7265.
