The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the new traffic signal on North Detroit Street (SR 15) at the CR 300 North intersection in Warsaw is scheduled to be activated on Thursday. The signal includes red, amber and green lights for motorists on both SR 15 and CR 300 North.

Motorists turning left from northbound SR 15 will have a protected left turn arrow, followed by a green ball that allows “permissive” left turns, after yielding the right-of-way to oncoming traffic.

The signal has been activated due to increased traffic from the expansion of the commercial center on the northwest corner of this intersection. The signal was installed by the commercial center’s developer under agreement with INDOT.

The timing for the new signal will be coordinated as a progressive signal system with the signals on SR 15 to the north and the south of CR 300 North.

Motorists should be aware of the traffic change and drive with caution at this intersection.
