Harold Lee Sellers
Harold Lee Sellers, 81, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 17, 1932, in a log cabin in Monroe Township, Kosciusko County, Ind., to Evelyn Pearl (Smith) Sellers and Virgil Verlin Sellers. On Aug. 29, 1951, at Warsaw, Ind., he was married to Freda Belle Shaw, who survives in Pierceton.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., and a 1950 graduate of Pierceton High School. He had resided in the Etna Green, Pierceton and Warsaw areas his entire life.
Harold had worked for 15 years for Playtime Products then in 1965 he joined his father in business and the company became Sellers and Sons Inc. He retired in 2003.
He attended Winona Lake Free Methodist Church in Winona Lake, Ind., loved to work with his hands, woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, and loved to square dance and play cards. But most of all he loved his family and grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his son: Brad (Carol) Sellers, Streator, Ill.; two daughters: Sandy (Rex) Mauk, Pierceton; Leigh (Fred) Watkins, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his brother: Jack (Jessie) Sellers, Pierceton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Devon and Gerald Sellers; and one sister: Christine Anderson.
His visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Roland Kramer. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
