Community Foundation Welcomes New Board Members
The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is pleased to welcome seven new members, whose terms began in November, to its 23-member board of directors. New board members include Ron Baumgartner, Kevin Deardorff, Jennifer Hollar, Dana Krull, Jon Roberts, Christine Sands and Kip Tom.
Ron Baumgartner lives in Syracuse. He is the president of The Papers Inc. in Milford. His areas of expertise include administration, business and planning. Baumgartner’s nonprofit experience includes membership in the Milford Lion’s Club, board member of the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation and a past member of the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission.
Kevin Deardorff lives in Claypool. He is the executive vice president of Retail Banking at Lake City Bank. His areas of expertise include administration, business and finance. His nonprofit leadership experience includes chairing the boards of Cardinal Services, United Way, Business Leadership Network and the Warsaw Rotary Club.
Jennifer Hollar lives in Warsaw. Her community experiences include committee work on behalf of her church and membership in Tri-Kappa and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Eisenhower Elementary, Edgewood Middle School and Warsaw Community High School.
Dana Krull lives in Leesburg. He is an accountant with the Himes & Krull CPA firm. His areas of expertise include business, accounting, finance and audit. His nonprofit board leadership experiences include the Warsaw/Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Combined Community Services, Kosciusko County Visitor’s Bureau, Cardinal Services and K21 Health Foundation along with numerous other organizations.
Jon Roberts lives in Syracuse where he and his family operate J &M Roberts Farms LLC. His areas of expertise include agriculture, planning, education, business and facilities. His nonprofit experience includes serving on the boards of the Indiana District of Kiwanis, Soil & Water Conservation District, International 4-H Youth Exchange, Kosciusko County Extension, and numerous others.
Christine Sands lives in Syracuse. She is the president of Sands Accounting, a CPA firm. Her expertise includes administration, accounting and business. Her nonprofit leadership experience includes board membership with Lakeland Learning Center and the Lakeland Kiwanis. She also serves on the finance committee for her church and provides volunteer bookkeeping services for several community organizations.
Kip Tom lives in Leesburg. He is the Managing Member of Tom Farms LLC. His areas of expertise include agriculture, business, planning and investment. His nonprofit leadership experience includes the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, 4-H Foundation, Farm Foundation, Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and many more.
“We are thrilled to welcome this talented group of community leaders to our board,” said Community Foundation Board President, Jerry Yeager. “The addition of representatives from the agricultural communities and from the northern portion of our county are strategic as we pursue new charitable initiatives focused in those areas.”
