SA’s Pommier Commissioned To Greet Governor
The Salvation Army Indiana Division asked Lt. Karen Pommier to represent The Salvation Army with Gov. Mike Pence on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
Gov. Pence stopped by to ring The Salvation Army bell at a local Kroger store in Rochester. Lt. Pommier received an opportunity to speak with the local media about the work of the organization in Kosciusko County.
“We do the most good with every single cent that gets put in our kettles,” Lt. Pommier said. “We try to find those people who are very desperate and give them hope that there is a future.”
The red kettles will be out in Kosciusko County until Dec. 24. To sign up for a bell ringing shift, volunteers are encouraged to visit www.registertoring.com.
