Emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle accident at SR 15 near CR 400 South, Warsaw, just after 4 p.m. yesterday.

According to Mike Mulligan with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, four motorcycles were northbound on SR 15 north of 500 South when a motorcycle, driven by Marissa M. Weese, 29, of Cromwell, touched the rear tire of a second motorcycle driven by Marissa’s husband, Ryan T. Weese, 30, Cromwell. Marissa lost control of her bike after making contacting with the motorcycle in front of her. She laid down the bike and slid off the roadway.

Though it was believed that Marissa could potentially have a head injury due to her confusion at the scene, Mulligan stated she only suffered from minor abrasions and cuts. Both Samaritan and Lutheran were called but, due to weather, were not utilized. Marissa was instead transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by ambulance.

Witnesses at the scene reported that a white van was believed to have been involved in the accident and had left the scene but police state that a van is no longer suspected to have been involved in the accident.
