LCA Ladies Lose A Pair
The Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team dropped a pair of games over the weekend.
The Cougars lost 54-23 at Hamilton Saturday night.
Hannah Remington netted eight points to lead LCA. Morgan Holsclaw scored five points and Maryl Gerst added four for the Cougars, who suffered their fifth straight loss to drop to 2-5.
Lindsey Upp tossed in 17 points and Sanne Van Roessel added 13 to lead Hamilton, now 2-3 on the season.
LCA plays at South Bend Trinity and Hamilton travels to Fremont, both on Saturday.
The Cougars lost a defensive struggle by a 31-19 count to visiting Jimtown Friday night in Winona Lake.
Remington once again led the offense for the Cougars with six points. Julianne Haines scored five points and Rachel Sand and Hannah Delp each had four.
Logan Trosper tallied six points and Madison Beadles added five for the Jimmies, who improve to 2-3.
Jimtown plays at Mishawaka Marian on Wednesday night.
