Warrior Swim Rushes Past Plymouth
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys and girls concluded its pre-Christmas Northern Lakes Conference schedule Thursday night with a pair of big wins against visiting Plymouth.
The Lady Warriors moved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the NLC with a 143-36 victory while the boys earned its second win in three days with a 122-37 triumph, moving to 2-3 on the season and also in the NLC.
Highlights for the Wawasee girls included two wins each for four swimmers. Bre Robinson won the butterfly and 200 freestyle, Paige Miller the 500 freestyle and backstroke, Kayla Hershberger the 50 and 100 freestyles and Shelby Adams topped the individual medley and breaststroke.
The boys had similar success with Zac Hershberger tops in the butterfly and breaststroke and Logan Brugh the 200 and 500 freestyles. Mason Germonprez won the IM, Caige Wahlgren the 100 freestyle and Danny Allen the backstroke.

Wawasee’s boys will host the Wawasee Invitational this Saturday morning. Both teams will then have two weeks off in preparation for a showdown with Northridge on Jan. 7 at Wawasee. Both Wawasee and Northridge’s girls teams are both undefeated in the NLC, the winner gaining a leg up for the regular season conference crown.
Northridge’s boys are currently undefeated in the NLC.
