Local Police Searching For Missing Teens
A teenage girl and her boyfriend are being sought as runaways by police in at least two states for stealing an automobile. The couple was last known to be in Warsaw.
Carrie Brissette, the mother of 15-year-old Veronica Brissette, said her daughter and Josh Coman, 17, stole her vehicle from Carrie Brissette’s home in Brookfield, Wis., on Jan. 2. Brissette, a former Warsaw resident, said her daughter and Coman were last known to be in the Warsaw area at 8:25 a.m. this morning.
“We know they were/are in the Warsaw area … as my daughter’s cell phone was pinged by our service carrier to a tower near Chapman Lake and previously, on Jan. 3, to a tower at 991 Lake St.,” said Carrie Brissette. Authorities were also able to track the vehicle by an iPass that was in the car. That noted the vehicle was traveling through Chicago and onto the Indiana Toll Road early Friday.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Brookfield Police Department are both working on locating the missing teens. The teens are believed to be in a 2005 black Toyota Camry with a Wisconsin license plate of 855SJH. If seen, call local police at 574-267-5667 or Brookfield Police at 262-387-3702.
