Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Jan. 19, 7:54 p.m. Armstrong Road near 475 East, North Webster. Driver: Tristan R. Mauk, 17, Blaine Street, North Webster. Mauk hit a patch of ice, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. The vehicle hit a snow embankment which caused it to roll over. No injuries were reported. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Jan. 19, 5:49 p.m. 300 West near 300 North, Warsaw. Driver: Randy L. Dawson, 41, Bobwhite Drive, Warsaw. Dawson attempted to avoid a snow drift, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. Damages: up to $5,000
Sunday, Jan. 19, 2:35 p.m. SR 15 near 1350 North, Milford. Drivers: Victor H. Argumedo-Lopez, 19, Anchorage Road, Warsaw; and Deborah R. Mitchel, 63, CR 9, Nappanee. Argumedo-Lopez was attempting to avoid a collision with a vehicle that suddenly slowed in front of him. In doing so, he veered across the center line and collided with Mitchel. Mitchel was treat by EMS for complaints of pain in her entire body. Damages: up to $25,000
Sunday, Jan. 19, 4:46 a.m. Old Road 30 near 650 East, Warsaw. Driver: Jonathan A. Gaff, 34, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Jan. 18, 5:29 p.m. 900 North near Orn Road, Leesburg. Driver: Loren D. Miller. Miller lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and struck a NPSCO utility pole. Damages: up to $10,000
Saturday, Jan. 18, 7:27 a.m. 900 West near 1050 North, Warsaw. Driver: Lawanda N. Chupp, 19, 900 West, Etna Green. Chupp lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway and rolled over. No injuries were reported. Damages: up to $10,000
Saturday, Jan. 18, 2:19 a.m. SR 19 near 1350 North, Nappanee. Driver: Anette J. Slabaugh, 49, 850 North, Etna Green. Slabaugh lost control of her vehicle in the snow, slid off the road and struck a utility pole. Slabaugh refused medical treatment at the scene. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, Jan. 17, 11:05 p.m. 900 South near 675 West, Akron. Driver: Ashton P. Krider. Krider slid off the roadway attempting to make a turn on the snow-covered roadway. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Jan. 17, 6:47 p.m. U.S. 30 near 450 East, Warsaw. Driver: Billy H. Poe, 64, West Channel Road, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Jan. 17, 10:12 a.m. 200 South near County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jamie L. France, 38, 1500 North, North Manchester. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Jan. 17, 8:59 a.m. SR 19 near SR 10, Etna Green. Driver: Brandon M. Hurd, 40, Desert Palms Court, Fort Mohave, Ariz. Hurd swerved to miss an animal in the roadway and drove off the road. Hurd struck a utility pole and the vehicle rolled over. Damages: up to $10,000
Milford Police Department
Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Friday, Jan. 17, 7:46 a.m. Heide Lane near Syracuse Street, Milford. Driver: Nathan R. Myers, 16, Emeline Street, Milford. Myers slid on icey road and struck a cement curb at the entrance of North Park. Damages: up to $2,500
North Webster Police Department
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, Jan. 18, 4:49 p.m. SR 13 near Esterbrook Drive, North Webster. Driver: Sandra D. Green, 67, Ogden Point Road, Syracuse. Green drove off the roadway to avoid a collision with the car in front of her. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Jan. 18, 10:18 a.m. Blaine Street near Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Driver: Bailey E. Yoder. Yoder slid on snow covered road, exited the roadway and struck a fence and shore station at the North Webster Lions Club. Damages: up to $10,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, Jan. 20, 5:00 a.m. Lake City Highway near Springhill Road, Warsaw. Driver: Mark E. Barnes, 53, Lynn Avenue, Fort Wayne. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Jan. 18, 11:00 p.m. Jalynn Street near Walton Blvd, Warsaw. Drivers: Jamensen F. Molnar, 26, Jackson Road, Mishawaka; and Dennis W. Joy, 56, Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Molnar pulled into Joy’s path causing a collision. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, Jan. 18, 1:13 p.m. 600 West near 300 North, Warsaw. Drivers: unoccupied; parked; and Jared L. Miller, 22, CR 26, Middlebury. A vehicle, registered to Linda P. Sanders of Warsaw, was parked in a parking lot and left in neutral. The vehicle began to roll and struck another parked vehicle registered to Nancy J. Stutuzman of Warsaw. Miller was in his vehicle when he saw the automobile begin to roll towards his truck. Miller attempted to avoid a collision but was unable to do so. He then exited his vehicle and prevented the unattended vehicle from rolling into any other cars. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Jan. 17, 7:51 a.m. Market Street near High Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather M. Yates, 32, 19th Road, Bourbon; and Luann Tennant, 58, 8 Square Road, Warsaw. Yates pulled out in front of Tennant causing a collision. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, Jan. 17, 7:31 a.m. Buffalo Street near Winona Ave, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael R. DeGroff, 24, Lake Street, Warsaw; Patty A. Lenon, 47, Ivywood,Drive, Warsaw; Lesa A. Gray, 47, Main Street Atwood, Warsaw; and Lori A. Haug, 45, 10th Road, Bourbon. DeGroff was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with Lenon. The collision caused Lenon to collide with Gray, and Gray to collide with Haug. Damages: up to $25,000
Friday, Jan. 17, 7:08 a.m. Lake City Highway near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald H. Adams, 21, Edgewood Drive, Churubusco. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to 5,000
