Friday, Jan. 24, 6:37 p.m. SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Dallas R. Phipps, 18, SR 13, North Manchester. Phipps was forced of the road by a semi-trailer that crossed the center line to avoid a snow drift. Damages: up to $2,500

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday, Jan. 26, 9:17 a.m. West 700 South near SR 15, Claypool. Driver: Shayla M. Thomas, 18, Bensart Drive, Claypool. Thomas slid through a stop sign and struck a guardrail. No injuries reported. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 8:02 p.m. Levi Leed Road near SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Nathan J. Marchand, 30, SR 5 57, Pierceton; and Alicia N. Heid, 23, Sharon Street, Winona Lake. Marchand slid on ice and rear-ended Heid. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 4:18 p.m. SR 15 near 900 North, Milford. Drivers: Susi R. Gomez, 29, McDonald Street, Elkhart; and Shane A. Bradshaw, 27, Park Avenue, Marion. Gomez slid on snow-covered roadway and rear-ended Bradshaw. It was noted in the report that visibility was poor at the time of the accident due to blowing snow. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 2:19 p.m. CR 350 North near Airport Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Billy J. Blair, 25, Levi Lee Road, Warsaw; and Faron E. Erwin, 35, Center Street, Warsaw. Blair entered into the intersection to see around a snow pile causing Erwin to collided with his vehicle. Blair did not have insurance and was cited with Operating without Financial Responsibility. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 12:49 p.m. U.S. 30 near 900 East, Pierceton. Driver: Elizabeth J. Cravens, 27, 900 North, Westville. Cravens lost control of her vehicled on the snow-covered roadway. The car flipped over, but landed on its wheels. Cravens was transported to the hospital. Damages: $2,500

Saturday, Jan. 25, 9:50 a.m. SR 13 near U.S. 30, Pierceton. Drivers: Michelle J. Morbitzer, 27, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester; and Keturah D. Hyde, 24, Park Drive, Huntington. Morbitzer lost control of her vehicle while attempting to stop at the intersection and struck Hyde’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 9:42 a.m. SR 19 near SR 10, Etna Green. Drivers: Herman J. Baldwin, 59, SR 19, Etna Green; and Tiffany J. Halterman, 27, SR 19, Akron. Baldwin was operating a four-wheeler with a snow plow attachment and turned in front of Halterman’s vehicle. Baldwin was ejected from the ATV, injuring his neck. He was taken to KCH and later transferred to Fort Wayne Hospital due to a broken neck. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan 25, 4:44 a.m. West 700 South near County Farm Road, Claypool. Drivers: Tara L. Rogers, 25, Section Street, Claypool; and Jerry M. Hall, 36, Center Street, Warsaw. Rogers rear-ended Hall’s truck. Damages up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 1:28 a.m. Old Road 15 near 900 North, Milford. Driver: James A. Hendrix, 19, Cedar Road, Bourbon. Hendrix collided with an abandoned vehicle that was stuck in a snow drift. Damages: up to $5,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 11:15 p.m. 700 South near 600 West, Claypool. Driver: Cody R. Mangun. Mangun lost of his vehicle and slid into a concrete barrier. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 6:24 p.m. Packerton Road near SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Brian P. Kintigh, 45, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Kintigh slide of the road and struck a tree, causing his vehicle to rotate 180 degrees. Kintigh was transported to KCH for injuries to his ribs and left wrist. Shortly after Kintigh exited his vehicle, another automobile struck his vehicle. Damges: up to 25,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 4:15 p.m. SR 19 near 900 North, Nappanee. Drivers: Andrew W. Yoder, 18, Beech Road, Bourbon; and Kristen E. Martin, 33, Wabash Avenue, Wakarusa. Yoder attempted to pass a horse and buggy, in doing so he nearly collided with Martin. Both drivers swerved. The left side of Martin’s vehicle struck the Yoder’s vehicle and she slid off the road and struck a mailbox. No injuries reported in the crash. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 2:45 p.m. East 850 South near SR 13, Sidney. Driver: Zachery Hollenbaugh, 20, 1150 South, South Whitley. Hollenbaugh drove over a snow drift causing him to leave the roadway. His vehicle went through a fence and struck a tree. Hollenbaugh was transported to KCH for injuries. Damages: up to $5,000

Milford Police Department

Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Friday, Jan. 24, 9:06 p.m. Old SR 15 near 1150 North, Milford. Driver: Thomas Rodriguez, 21, Turkey Creek Drive, Milford. Rodriguez struck a snow drift and was pulled off the roadway where his vehicle struck a NIPSCO utility pole. Damages: up to $10,000

North Webster Police Department

Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Friday, Jan. 24, 11:20 p.m. 675 East near 500 North, North Webster. Driver: Paul Szyperski, 44, Arlington Avenue, La Grange, Ill.. Szyperski drove through a snow drift, slid off the roadway and struck a metal wire fence. Damages: up to $5,000

Warsaw Police Department

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday Jan. 26, 3:59 p.m. Center Street near Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Earl H. Smith, 59, EMS B42 Lane, Leesburg; and Lee W. Batalis, 46, 200 South, Warsaw. Smith slid on slick roads and rear-ended Batalis, damaging a salt spreader attachment on the back of Batalis’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 10:32 a.m. Detroit Street near Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: A.J. Grady, 76, Rader Road, Warsaw; and Alejandra M. Madrigal, 23, Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Grady was unable to stop on icy road and slid into Madrigal’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Jan. 25, 10:20 a.m. Detroit Street near Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Romeo Rosales, 16, Levi Lee Road, Warsaw; and Allen R. Slabaugh, 65, 1100 North, Milford. Rosales slid on snow-covered roadway and collided with Slabaugh’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500

Saturday, Jan. 25, 9:33 a.m. Center Street near Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Timothy A. Secrist, 41, 1000 West, Mentone; and Guy C. Fowl, 61, Anderson Hill Street, Marriottsville, Md. Secrist sideswipped Fowl’s vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 10:42 p.m. Lake City Highway near Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Janelle M. Armstrong; and David L. Jene, unknown age or address. Armstrong fishtailed into a semi-trailer while attempting to merge on to Lake City Highway. Armstrong was transported to KCH for complaints of back pain. Damages: up to $5,000

Friday, Jan. 24, 3:28 p.m. West 300 North near Shelden Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael F. Richardson, 28, Whitley Street, Columbia Street; and Timothy R. Allen, 37, Dot Street, Warsaw. Richardson attempted to stop at a stop sign but slid into the intersection and collided with Allen. Damages: up to $10,000
