Funeral Home Director Charged With Sex Crime
The owner and funeral director of a North Manchester funeral home was arrested by Vincennes Police Monday and charged with child seduction.
Michael J. McKee, 56, was taken into custody in North Manchester following an investigation of allegations that he and a minor child traveled to Vincennes earlier this month where they engaged in sexual activity in a hotel. As a result of the investigation and several interviews conducted, McKee, the owner and funeral director of McKee Mortuary, was arrested.
McKee has been charged with a Class B felony count of criminal deviate conduct, Class C felony child seduction and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
McKee graduated from the Vincennes University of Funeral Service in 1978 and has been involved in the North Manchester funeral home for over 30 years.
The North Manchester Police Department and Indiana Department of Child Services assisted in the investigation.
