Gingerich To Be Sentenced Today
Paul Gingerich, now 15, will be sentenced in a Kosciusko County courtroom today for his role in a 2010 murder. Previously sentenced to 25 years in prison, the Cromwell boy was only 12 when he plead guilty to helping a friend kill his stepfather.
After months of new court proceedings and having his initial conviction thrown out by the Indiana Court of Appeals, Gingerich will receive a new sentence this morning. A plea agreement in December could mean he would be released from prison this summer and simply serve 25 years of state supervised probation or parole. It could also mean he would be admitted to a community corrections facility.
Gingerich was one of three juveniles charged with the shooting death of Phillip Danner, 49, in a Cromwell home in April 2010.
