Firemen’s Ball Ignited The Night
The first ever Kosciusko County Firemen’s Association Ignite the Night Firemen’s Ball was held Saturday night in Syracuse with approximately 100 firefighters and their significant others in attendance.
The evening was held at Oakwood Inn and was a semi-formal/formal event that included a catered meal, door prizes and raffle items, dancing and fellowship among the county’s fire departments. Organizers hope the event will become an annual fundraiser for the Kosciusko County Firemen’s Association.
KCFA President Kevin McSherry said he supported the ball and anything that helps the fire association. He applauded the efforts of Claypool Fire Chief Bob Haines and his fiancĂ©, Korrin Gorman, who largely handled the organizing of the evening noting, “I didn’t know there would be this much interest in it.”
