William David England
William David England, 83 of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at GraceVillage Health Care of Winona Lake, Ind.
He was born on April 22, 1930, in Sparta, Tenn., to Jeff England and Rosha (Luna) England. On March 18, 1978, he was married to Gloria Mary Motoc, who survives in Warsaw, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army active duty from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict.
After his service he worked on hydraulic pumps for Sperry Vickers in Troy, Mich., retiring in 1990. He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., since 1992 where he was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church, as well as a Sunday School Teacher, and at one time was the church treasurer. William enjoyed woodworking projects, playing his guitar, loved his family and wife, reading the Bible and most of all loved Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his three sons: Garry (Sherry) England, Warsaw; David (Mary) England, Lakeview, Mich.; Ronnie (Mary) England, Leesburg, Ind.; daughter: Linda (John) Smith, Fayetteville, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Verb (June) England, West Branch, Mich.; and DeWayne (Pat) England, Sparta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Florence England; his grandson: Zachary England; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw, and will be officiated by Pastor Gale Janofski. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw with military rites conducted by the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard, the American Legion Post #49, and the V.F.W. Post #1126 both of Warsaw.
