State Rep. Rebecca Kubacki (R-Syracuse) authored House Concurrent Resolution 22 urging Governor Mike Pence to designate March 30 each year as Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.

More than 58,000 members of the United States Armed Forces, including 1,532 Hoosiers, lost their lives in Vietnam. Rep. Kubacki hopes to establish a day to express appreciation and honor the members of the United States Armed Forces who served during the Vietnam War. She is inviting all veterans to attend the presentation of HCR 22 at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, at the Indiana Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis.
