Ivy Tech Gallery Features Student Works
Ivy Tech Community College’s School of Fine Arts and Design gallery on the South Bend campus will hold a juried student photography exhibit Monday, March 24, through Friday, April 11.
The show will feature work from current photography students. A reception and awards presentation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the gallery. The exhibit will be juried by faculty members Kay Westhues and Katherine Schmidt. The top three images chosen by the jurors will be awarded gift certificates to Gene’s Camera Store in South Bend. The gallery is free and open to the public during normal business hours. Parking is free for visitors. Guest parking is available on the north side of the building. If visiting during exhibit dates, please see security kiosk for a guest parking pass.
The Visual Communications program offers students preparation courses in graphic design, photography, web design, film and video, and the fine art foundation courses in drawing, painting and three dimensional design. The Environmental Design program provides career training through courses in interior design, sustainable building and construction, garden landscape design, kitchen and bath design and the decorative arts.
