ELKHART – The Jim Eger Relays will not take place this year. Elkhart Memorial has announced that the running of the boys and girls Relays have been cancelled due to weather conditions. The events will not be made up. Wawasee’s boys and girls track teams were scheduled to appear in competition.

Wawasee’s track teams will hope to get in a reschedule with West Noble next Thursday before looking to the start of the Northern Lakes Conference season for its introduction into the 2014 season. The girls program will travel to West Noble for a triangular with West Noble and Westview April 3 then to Goshen April 15 for a triangular with Goshen and Plymouth. The boys will host West Noble April 3 then travel to Goshen April 17 for a triangular with Goshen and Northridge.

Wawasee also announced Thursday afternoon that its home baseball scrimmage against Churubusco Saturday is now cancelled due to poor field conditions and will not be made up. The Warriors will look to the penciled in season opener Tuesday versus Bethany Christian, a 5 p.m. start in Syracuse.
