Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, April 1, 7:07 a.m. East 200 North and U.S. 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Fernando Gomez, 45, Dennis Court, Plymouth; and Devin M. Lenfestey, 17, North 175 East, Warsaw. Gomez failed to see Lenfestey’s vehicle stopped for a traffic light on East 200 North and rear-ended the vehicle. Damages: up to $1,000
Monday, March 31, 12:36 p.m. West U.S. 30 and North SR 19, Etna Green. Drivers: Thomas J. Croyle, 64, Midland Road, Bay Village, Ohio; and Cassandra N. Sparks, 21, West 300 North, Etna Green. Both vehicles were westbound on U.S. 30 when Croyle merged to the left turn lane. He realized he did not want to turn, however, and when he merged back into the travel lane he collided with the Sparks vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
Monday, March 31, 5:40 a.m. West 300 South and South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Rex. D. Allen, 57, South Packerton Road, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, March 31, 2:53 p.m. West Lake Street and Hepler Drive. Drivers: Bridget H. Deaton, 19, Water Street, Plymouth; and Terry G. Nash, 59, Alpha Street, Warsaw. Deaton was northbound on Hepler Drive and failed to see Nash’s vehicle approaching from the east. She pulled into path resulting in the crash. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, March 31, 4:07 a.m. Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: Bryan E. Wolfe, 38, North Fish Hatchery Road, Columbia City. Wolfe was westbound on Lake City Highway when he noticed a large tree branch in his lane of travel. He was not able to avoid it due to a truck in the lane next to him. Damages: up to $1,000
