Handbell Soloist Performing At Good Friday Service
Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. 1000 S., Akron, will be hosting a
guest handbell soloist for a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 18.
Kristine Stout from “Joybell,” a musical handbell ministry based out of Clinton Township, Mich., will be providing a very special inspirational concert entitled “The Story of Holy Week,” an Easter Cantata for the handbell soloist. The cantata was written, arranged and will be performed by Stout.
Stout is a handbell soloist, playing 3 octaves (37 bells) of English Handbells all by herself. She has been sharing her incredible music with audiences all over the United States and performs her lively Christian show daily at The Joybell Theater in Nashville.
A visually pleasing program, Stout combines traditional handbell weaving techniques with a special form of ballet. “The Story of Holy Week” is a special 60-minute handbell solo in which Stout depicts the major events of Holy Week with music — using only handbells and her own digital keyboard orchestrations.
The story is told without words and takes you on a one of a kind journey through Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Gethsemane, Good Friday and His Resurrection and Ascension. An extremely meaningful, emotional presentation, Stout’s artistry and grace will overwhelm your musical senses.
In addition to the bells, Stout also writes and performs all the arrangements for her digital keyboard orchestral accompaniments. An energetic, passionately joyous, inspirational program, “The Story of Holy Week” is a one of a kind presentation of the Greatest Story Ever Told.
