BOURBON – The Triton softball team continued its early season success Saturday.

The host Trojans blasted Argos 12-2 and 10-0 in a pair of six-inning victories.

Brycelyn Garbison fired a two-hitter in the circle in the opener for Triton. She walked one and fanned five in the win.

The duo of Hannah Jennings and Allyson Brown led the offense in game one as each slugged a homer and drove in two runs. Lexi Lemler had two hits for the Trojans.

Star hurler Mallorie Jennings took care of the Dragons in the nightcap. The senior twirled a one-hitter in the circle with two walks and eight strikeouts. Jennings also helped her own cause at the plate by going 2-4 in the win.

Hallie Zimmerman was 2-4 with a homer and three RBI for the Trojans. Heather Stichter was 2-3 with a double and three RBI and Amanda Warrick had a double.

Triton (3-0) plays at Tippecanoe Valley Monday at 5 p.m. The Trojans then host Caston Tuesday at 5:30 and entertain Wawasee Saturday at 11 a.m.
