Weather Alters Prep Sports Scene
Mother Nature has once again put the brakes on the area high school spring sports season.
Triton High School has postponed all of its events, softball, baseball and girls tennis, scheduled for tonight (April 14).
The Triton at Tippecanoe Valley softball game is rescheduled for April 16 at 5 p.m. The baseball game, also at Valley, is now set for May 13 at 5 p.m. The girls tennis match at Knox is slated for May 6 at 5:30 p.m.
Triton also announced that its JV baseball game versus Tippecanoe Valley on April 16 will start at 5:30 p.m. at Triton. Also, the JV baseball game at Concord originally scheduled for Friday will now be played on May 20 at 5 p.m.
Triton has also confirmed changes for conference baseball and softball games versus John Glenn. Due to Glenn having its prom May 9, the varsity baseball game is rescheduled for May 8 at Glenn. The JV baseball game will be played April 29 at Triton. The varsity softball game is resulted for May 6 at Triton with the JV softball contest on May 8 at Glenn. All four of those games versus Glenn will begin at 5 p.m.
Warsaw announced that its girls track conference meet at NorthWood Tuesday (April 15) has been moved to Wednesday (April 16) at 5 p.m. in Nappanee. WCHS also noted that its softball game at Fort Wayne Carroll on Wednesday (April 16) will now begin at 5:30 p.m.
Wawasee has also moved its girls track meet tomorrow at Goshen to Wednesday. That NLC contest will begin at 5 p.m. Wawasee’s girls tennis match at Lakeland was also bumped to Wednesday, a 4:30 p.m. start at Lakeland.
