PLYMOUTH – The Tippecanoe Valley softball team came up on the short end of an 11-3 final Friday at Plymouth.

The Vikings started in good fashion with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning.

The Pilgrims answered with four runs in the home half of the opening frame to take control.

Lauren Early had two hits, including a double, for the Vikings.

Diana Baca and Robyn Dunnuck each also had two hits for Valley. Katie Gunter pitched three scoreless innings in relief for the Vikings.

Valley (1-3) hosts John Glenn today in a twin bill starting at 11 a.m.
