Harold ‘Clarke’ Rutledge
Harold ‘Clarke’ Rutledge, 74, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 3:48 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1939, in Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada, to Olive Maude (MacDonald) Rutledge and Fredrick Archibald Rutledge. On July 19, 1997, he was married to Carole Ann (Crosby) Rutledge, who survives in Warsaw, Ind. He served in the Canadian Air Force from Jan. 21, 1957, until his honorable discharge on Aug. 4, 1972.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 34 years where he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw and the Knights of Columbus. Clarke moved to Warsaw in 1980 when he started working for Zimmer Inc. He worked there for a number of years, then later worked at DePuy, Biomet, Applied Thermal Technology and then with B&M Instruments until his passing.
He is survived by three sons: Dale Rutledge, Ontario; Timothy (Vicki) Rutledge, Warsaw; Todd Rutledge, Ontario; three step-sons: Ralph (Christine) Marcuccilli, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Bob (Shari) Marcuccilli, Warsaw; Michael (Jena) Marcuccilli, Warsaw; three daughters: Tracey (Steve) Kamp, Akron, Ind.; Toni McLeod, Ontario; Amber (Scott) Warren, Warsaw; two step-daughters: Melanie (Jeff) Cameron, Warsaw; Angela (Randy) Burnett, Warsaw; and 33 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; six brothers: Terrance (Betty) Rutledge, Nova Scotia; Dale (Jean) Rutledge, Ontario; Fredrick Rutledge, Nova Scotia; Sandy (Gail) Rutledge, Nova Scotia; Wade (Vicky) Rutledge, Nova Scotia; Craig (Melanie) Rutledge, Nova Scotia; eight sisters: Carolyn (Robert) Hickey, Nova Scotia; Eunice (Ronald) Beck, Quebec; Agnes (Brian) Moser, Nova Scotia; Barbara (Barry) Verge, Nova Scotia; Bonnie (James) Lowe, Nova Scotia; Joy (Joseph) Casey, Nova Scotia; Kellie (Gordon) Fiander, Nova Scotia; and Judy (Walter) Johnson, Nova Scotia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw, with a rosary service following at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison Street, Warsaw, celebrated by Father Phil DeVolder. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
