Barbara S. Gagen, 75, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 9:14 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Ind.  

She was born in Peru, Ind., on Nov. 14, 1938, to David and Doris (Shaw) Oberlin. 

She attended Peru High School in Peru, Ind., and formerly worked in the maintenance department at NIA in Nappanee, Ind.  She moved to the Syracuse area in 1982 from Peru.   

She is survived by three daughters Lee Anna (Steve) Dixon, Cromwell, Ind.; Dana Michelle Wouster, New Mexico; Keely Marie (Tim) Fultz, Cromwell; son: Charles John Lucas, Goshen; 10 grandchildren;  three great-grandchildren; half-sister: Wanetta Roeder, DeLand, Fla.; two step-brothers: Tony Roeder, Cincinnati, Ohio; John Roeder, California.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and son: Michael Joseph Wouster II.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday May 3, in the Milford Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Owen Family Funeral Home. 

Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
