Mary I. Weldy
Mary I. Weldy, 85, of Goshen, Ind., passed away at 9:25 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.
She was born Sept. 19, 1928, in North Baltimore, Ohio, to Joseph H. and Naomi M. (Rider) Whetsel. She graduated in 1946 from North Baltimore High School and was married to Dewey Weldy who preceded her on March 4, 1993.
She moved to Goshen in 1976 from Fort Wayne, Ind. She was formerly employed at Goshen Parks Department, Barth Manufacturing in Milford, Ind., for 20 years, Ray Eberhard attorney in Goshen, Ind., Dee Russell and Spahn Attorneys in Elkhart, Ind.
She was a member of the Sugar Grove Church in Goshen.
She is survived by three sons: Michael (Shirley) Miller, Elkhart; Bradford Miller, Elkhart; and Stephen (Melissa) Miller, Stevensville, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother: Lloyd Whetsel; and an infant twin sister.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren, 58512 Old CR 17, Goshen, IN 46528. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Pastor Cary Perdue former pastor of the church officiating. Burial will take place in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
