Three Arrested On Drug Charges
Kosciusko County and Warsaw Drug Task Force Officers arrested three individuals on various drug charges, Thursday, after locating a meth lab north of Pierceton.
Officers with the Warsaw Drug Task Force and Kosciusko County Drug Task Force went to the address of 2186 North, County Road 850 East in an attempt to execute an arrest warrant for Gary John Alto, 54, Pierceton. Upon arrival, officers discovered numerous one-pot meth labs inside the residence. The Indiana State Police Meth Lab Team was subsequently called to the scene to dismantle and secure the various meth labs.
Alto was arrested without incident and preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine. Alto was also charged with felony dealing/manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
During the time of the investigation at the scene, two individuals arrived that were identified as Derek Robert Fleckenstein, 35, and Travon Francel Wendell, 30, Fort Wayne. During the course of interviewing both subjects, Fleckenstein was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior and felony possession of methamphetamine.
Wendell was also arrested and preliminarily charged with possession of paraphernalia. Fleckenstein is being held on a $2,000 bond while Wendell was issued a $350 bond.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
