Warsaw Tennis Team Victorious
WARSAW – The Warsaw girls tennis team made it two wins in two days Friday.
The host Tigers used a singles sweep to best Fort Wayne Concordia 4-1 in a non-conference affair.
The senior trio of Jacqueline Sasso, Sarah Boyle and Rachel Alexander all posted dominating wins to lead Warsaw.
Sasso won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to lead the way for the Tigers.
Boyle was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles for Warsaw. Alexander completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3.
The No. 2 doubles team of Abbi Baum and Athena Schlitt also won for the Tigers.
Warsaw, now 3-5 on the season, will play at Homestead Monday.
The junior varsity match Friday ended in a 6-6 deadlock. Winning for the JV Tigers were Camille Kerlin, Sydney Hartman, Shelby Roberts, Danielle Straits and Sydney Peugh in singles play and the doubles team of Rosie Fleming and Greer Smith.
