Michael L. Pearson
Michael Lin Pearson, 55, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:25 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at his residence.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 14 years. He graduated from high school in Fort Recovery, Ohio, then attended Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and received his Bachelor of Science degree.
Michael taught school for a number of years at Anderson Community Schools in Anderson, Ind.; Fairfield Community Schools in Goshen, Ind.; and Tippecanoe Valley Schools in Akron, Ind. In 1996 he commenced employment with Walmart Corp. and at the time of his passing he was the Senior Divisional Facilitator for Talent Development.
Michael was born Jan. 26, 1959, in Union City, Ohio, to the late Elvan Louis Pearson and Donna Imogene “Gene” (Willis) Pearson, who survives in Fort Recovery, Ohio. On May 30, 1981 in Muncie, Ind., he was married to Marcie Kathleen (Collins) Pearson.
He is survived by his wife: Marcie Pearson, Warsaw; a son: Drew Pearson, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Sophia May Pearson and Carter Allen Pearson, both of Warsaw: two sisters: Kathy (Autley) Newton, Loranger, La.; and Penny Pearson, Columbus, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Joe Lampton. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Ind.
