The Triton girls tennis team lost a 3-2 final to New Prairie Wednesday.

The Trojans won at the top singles position and the top doubles spot in the Northern State Conference match.

Kaelyn Mason led the way for Triton with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.

The Trojans also won the No. 1 doubles match as the team of Carrie Slabaugh and Holly Stogsdill rallied for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win.

New Prairie improves to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the NSC. Triton drops to 8-3 overall and goes to 3-2 in league play.

New Prairie won the junior varsity action 3-1.

Triton hosts NSC foe Jimtown Thursday.
