Donna H. Heininger, 62, of North Manchester, Ind., died at 11:03 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Wabash County Hospital. 

She was born May 1, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of George Michael and Edna Helen (Knowles) Heininger. 

A registered nurse, she was a OB/GYN nurse practitioner in the Philadelphia area. 

In 2011, she married Garry L. Fortner. They spent their winters in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Surviving relatives include her husband: Garry; her mother: Edna Heininger, Columbia City, Ind.; and a sister: Linda (Jerry) Gottschalk, South Whitley, Ind. 

There will be no local service or visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Philadelphia.

Arrangements are being completed by Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.
