Pilgrims Blank Tigers On Diamond
WARSAW – Joe Dragani pitched Plymouth past Warsaw in Northern Lakes Conference baseball action Monday evening.
Dragani fired a gem as the Pilgrims blanked the host Tigers 10-0 in five innings in the league contest.
Warsaw managed just two hits off of Dragani. The Plymouth hurler fanned four and walked three in going all five innings.
Justin Oberlin and Sterling Hay each had a hit for the Tigers, who were outhit 11-2.
Kevin Hawley took the pitching loss for Warsaw to drop to 5-3 on the season on the hill.
George Stults had a pair of home runs and drove in four runs to pace Plymouth. Jacob Frantz had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBI for the Pilgrims.
Warsaw drops to 9-10 overall and 6-4 in the NLC. The Tigers play at NLC foe NorthWood Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Plymouth outscored the Tigers 11-9 in the junior varsity game Monday.
Henry Howard slugged a home run and Blake Foreman had four hits to pace Warsaw. Marcello Rodriguez took the pitching loss.
The Warsaw JV, which also plays at NorthWood on Wednesday, falls to 11-9 overall and 4-6 in league play.
