Express Employment Celebrates Volunteerism
Express Employment Professionals is setting aside a day of volunteerism known as “Brand It Blue Day.”
On Saturday, June 14, Express Employment Professionals offices from California to North Carolina to Canada will join together at local food banks and pantries to help fight hunger – a growing epidemic that impacts millions of people in the U.S., Canada and around the world every day.
“Brand It Blue Day is a day each Express franchise can come together for one great cause to help the community,” said Ralph Turner, Warsaw Express franchisee. “Brand It Blue Day is a chance for Express offices to honor the communities that have supported us through the years by giving back.”
Beginning this month and continuing through June 14, Express will host a food drive at its office, located at 2612 Shelden St., Warsaw, where you can drop off non-perishable food. And then on June 14, volunteers will gather the food and take it to the Combined Community Services, as well as volunteer on site.
“Because Brand It Blue Day takes place on Fathers Day weekend, we feel it’s a great opportunity for families to enjoy the importance of volunteering together,” Ralph Turner said. “It’s going to be a great time to bring families together and show what it looks like to help others.”
If you would like to volunteer, please sign up at ExpressPros.com/BrandItBlue. Volunteers will receive Express blue t-shirts to wear on Brand It Blue Day. This is the second year that the staffing company has sponsored Brand It Blue Day. In 2013, 192 Express offices and 1,500 volunteers donated more than 110,000 pounds of food to local food banks.
The Warsaw Express office is a franchise of Express Employment Professionals and is focused on “Strengthening the communities we serve by putting America to work. For more information, visit warsawin.expresspros.com/
In addition to Brand It Blue Day, the Warsaw Express Office sponsored the Refresh Leadership simulcast to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and provide leadership tips and insights to local businesses from nationally recognized speakers. The event raised $250 for Alzheimer’s treatment, research and support. Express Employment Professionals plans to hold this event annually and has a goal to at least double the donation next year.
