Dear Editor,

The Kosciusko County FOP Lodge 149 would like to sincerely thank all the sponsors and individuals that participated in our annual scholarship golf outing.  Excellent weather and great people came together for a fun-filled day that included Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Reserve Deputy Jon Popenfoose obtaining a “hole-in-one” shot. Kerlin Motor Sports provided Popenfoose with the keys to an Arctic Cat ATV/4-wheeler as a contribution to the event.  

The annual scholarship golf outing honors three fallen officers who died in the line of duty while serving in Kosciusko County: Phil Hochstetler, Jason Beal and Jeff Shaw.

Again, our deepest thanks to all those individuals that assisted in the golf outing and its ultimate benefit; the college students of our local community seeking careers in the emergency responder fields.
