Petro Paces Warsaw Golfers
LAFAYETTE – The Warsaw boys golf team wrapped up regular-season play Saturday in the Lafayette Jeff Invitational.
The Tigers finished with a team total of 326 to place seventh in the 21-team field.
Carmel won the team title with a 311. Hamilton Southeastern was runner-up with a 314.
Will Petro paced the Tigers with a round of 79.
Jonny Hollar shot an 81 and Brandon Eckert 82 for coach Ben Barkey’s squad. Ryan Cultice finished with an 84 and Michael Jensen shot an 89 for the Tigers.
The Warsaw junior varsity team placed fifth in the LaVille Invitational on Saturday.
Reid Cameron led the JV team with around of 82 in the tournament.
Josh Ahlersmeyer came in with an 83 for the Tigers. Robbie Sullivan shot 86 and Andrew Gauger 87. Luke Johnson finished with a 95.
Warsaw will host the sectional Friday at Rozella Ford.
