On The Edge: Students Share Summer Break Plans
Article by Lora Kuhneck, On The Edge Student Reporter Edgewood Middle School
What are your plans for this summer? Will you be taking a vacation or “stay-cation”? Either way, you ought to have fun. Edgewood students have contributed what they’re doing this summer to have fun.
One student said that they might be going to Michigan and might stay at a lodge near the dunes. Another student said that they are taking a trip to visit Washington, D.C., and Florida. A third student is going on a trip to Colorado, and plans to visit the Denver Mint, a zip-line at a ski resort, and a roller coaster at a ski resort.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy the summer if you are staying at home, too. You could camp out in your backyard, plant a garden, go on a bike ride, read (advised by teachers everywhere) or just spend time with family.
Maybe these don’t sound like fun, and you’d rather just sleep all summer, go ahead. But 2 and a half months is a long time to do nothing but sleep. One month of hibernation is probably enough, don’t you think?
